Happy Monday CE Friends! Nicolle here on the blog today and I hope everyone’s weekend was good. The hubby and I were both busy creating and designing. It took longer then we would’ve like and of course the computer crashed in the middle of designing so we lost a few things. We have a love – hate relationship with technology. It seems good ol’ Murphy law is always around too.
Today I am sharing a layout I created that was inspired by my daughter Jolie’s to cute T-shirt. I have to admit I never understood the whole mustache thing. I have seen a bunch of ladies creating scrapbook pages and realized it’s a hot hipster trend. I took this picture while we were waiting for her bus. Oh and by the way Jolie picked out this shirt. I let her make her own fashion choices…well within reason. I did have fun putting this layout together .
I altered 5 mustaches inspired by the designs and colors on her shirt. I used Tim Holtz Distress paints and Crafter’s Workshop stencil to mimic the designs. You can find 3 in a vertical row along the top left side of the photo. I also altered 2 polaroid like chipboard frames mimicking the same designs to keep a flow to my layout.
I didn’t do anything special with the chipboard hashtag fashion and fun words. I simply just applied Tim Holtz Distress paint to the fashion chippie and yellow acrylic paint to the fun chippie.
I cut apart the Moroccan Lattice design and applied picked raspberry Tim Holtz distress paint.
Here’s a little cluster with the cut apart moroccan panel and wooden mustache.
